The Inn at Ragged Edge

This bed and breakfast is definitely a special place... We enjoyed the history of the home, we enjoyed that it is preserved and decorated exquisitely... Our room was very comfortable and the breakfast was absolutely wonderful... We loved the nature trail for an enjoyable stroll before breakfast... We would recommend anybody to consider this lovely spot!

Barb and Ken are fantastic. They treated my husband and I like family from the time we arrived until the time we left (both times we have stayed). Check-in and check-out were very easy. The rooms are adorable; we have stayed in The Nest and Kennedy Room. Breakfast was delicious, and very filling. The Inn is in a secluded location with a wonderfully landscaped front lawn. There is also a walking path along the creek. We were able to hang out with the other guests, but also get away and do our own thing. We will come back again, and highly recommend staying here!

I very rarely write reviews unless something is extraordinarily good or bad. In this case, the former is true. Barb and Ken are great inn keepers. This is what a bed and breakfast should be like. You’re welcomed, treated great, fed well, and treated to a clean room. There’s a nice creek flowing on the property and a little nature trail to walk on. I’m not sure why anyone would stay in a hotel if you need a room in the chambersburg area. Don’t hesitate, just book it!

You are not welcome here if you have a disability and service animal. My daughter is disabled and has a trained service animal necessary for her to function outside the home and was denied entrance to this Inn. I had a reservation as part of my mother’s celebration of life/funeral that we arranged with family and friends. One of the owners, humiliated her in front of other guests and said that under no circumstances would she or her small service animal dog be allowed in. I had told the owner when I arrived but she did not disclose this information to me. I could not remain or stay at the inn at the expense of my daughter who was being discriminated against and I was so uncomfortable that we left. My money was not refunded. The celebration of life was also ruined for me but it was too late to go anyplace else. The property is beautiful and rooms are nice. The owner’s however have no business running an inn. If they feel they can legally ban service animals in Pennsylvania they need to disclose this on their website. Please advocate for people with disabilities.
